Common uses:

Cuban oregano is a fascinating plant with an intriguing scent. It is almost too pungent but when you first smell it you want to try it again. The leaves are thick and succulent and lends itself beautifully to savory dishes and soups. Traditionally it has been used to treats asthma and coughs as well as skin conditions. Leaves can be rubbed directly on the skin to repel mosquitos. New research has shown significant anti-tumor properties when used on a regular basis.

Growing:

The plant is fast growing and does not like sever cold. It can tolerate shade but does better with some morning sun. It is a creeper so can be used as a ground cover
